Speaking

Myla Goldberg has spoken at college campuses, libraries, Jewish community centers, museums, and professional conventions. Bee Season has been named Outstanding Book for the College Bound by the American Library Association and has been used for city-wide book discussions and as required reading for college courses and incoming college freshmen. For more information on bringing Myla to your college or community, visit Keppler Speakers.

There is one word going around the office today: perfect. Last night’s master class with Myla was everything we could have imagined and more. Myla: you were so generous with your insights and wit. There was an electricity in the room: the audience was hanging on your every word. I know everyone walked away inspired and wiser. - The New Yorker

“…eloquent, extremely well prepared and, as always, very funny.”
- The New York Public Library

Teaching

Want to take a class with Myla? Join Myla in October at the NYC Center for Fiction as she leads a 4-week writing workshop dedicated to creative brainstorming and new writing. Writers of all levels are welcome.

Student Testimonials:

This course has helped me improve my writing to a great extent. Myla’s use of writer’s goggles helps me keep track of reality.

This course has been the most amazing course for me, that has given me so much perspective on my writing and tons of feedback and criticism in a really comfortable and wonderful environment.

Myla ran a fantastic workshop. She emphasized from the start the value workshops hold particularly as places in which writers can hone our critical skills…[I] felt supported in growing as a workshop participant—not only did I feel respected and at ease voicing my own thoughts, but I felt that she modeled verbal critique for us in a way that was particularly helpful…I really appreciated her style of leading—she was concise and clear but never implied that her take was more conclusive or authoritative than ours…She held us to high standards, and the result was a high-quality workshop.
